In certain parts of movie in editing mode, when previewed the playback button freezes so you can't play those clips. If you save, closed out and come back in to the same spot, the same thing will happen, but if you go to different section everything works fine

There could be several reasons that could cause this but because you never gave us the required information we asked for in your last post it would be difficult to speculate on the reason this is happening now.
If you could read this post and oblige we may have some solutions to this problem. Otherwise we are guessing and will have to ask tons of questions to get to the possible root cause.

In addition to @CubeAce comment also download and install MediaInfo, see this tutorial for how to set up, and analyse the video clip that is showing the issue, and copy the results for posting in your reply.
Without this information on your system and the video we can only guess at the cause of the problem, as we cannot reproduce the issue..
