I have a VPN, could that have something to do with it?

B.FINDLAY wrote on 5/11/2021, 1:25 PM

Nope...VPN is not the culprit. My firewall is not very restrictive to my programs.

@B.FINDLAY

Hi

. . . .  I removed the images I can edit . . . .

Thank you.

. . . .  My firewall is not very restrictive to my programs . . . .

There is more than just the firewall in your Antivirus features - the ones that have caused a lot of issues may be called differently in different AV programs , however they most commonly referred to as Ransomware protection, Folder Protection and/or Realtime Scan.

You may have one or more of these features that need to be temporarily turn off/disabled.

Hello to everyone that has responded to my pleas for help! Thank you from my heart! I have not been on lately because of my frustration. I have since returned to communicating with IT Support and Sales Support.

I have been asking for a refund, so they can delete the program license and I can re-purchase the program, and download it again and see if that resolves the issue. I have asked IT to use the "TeamViewer" with me so they can see the problem I am having themselves. This back and forth on the email, can only help so much. Online Support needs to see what I am going through and they should have a way to do that.

Anyway, thank you all for caring and offering help and suggestions. I really do appreciate it and wanted to thank the Magix Community for doing such an awesome job of helping.

If and when this ever gets resolved I will let you all know but I thank you from the bottom to the top of my heart for all your help! 💯

Hello, Magix community! I wanted to let you all know, I have finally got the product working again, thanks to the help of "sales@magix.net" A lady there asked for pics of me entering the serial number and she alerted me that I was not using the dashes.

So, the error was mine all along. Most of my software requires you to not use the dashes, so I thought I was entering the serial number correctly. To those who asked if I was entering the Serial Number Correctly, you were right. I was not, but what helped is she asked for pics of what I was doing, so she could advise me.

I would like to thank everyone who took the time to reach out and help me, because that was one of the reasons I came back to try again and resolve the issue with "Magix IT support". I was complaining to them and to the Magix sales department and it finally got figured out.

You could not have told me I was entering the serial numbers wrong. I was convinced I was doing it right. Boy, was I wrong! And I was so mad too, and it wasn't anyone's fault, but my own. Again, so happy now, that I can finally get back to trying to make music. So appreciate the help and support.

@B.FINDLAY

Great to hear you're now up and running!

What actually caught you out is one of the reasons to always try and copy and paste any supplied serial number/activation key.

Yes, Jeff! I should have copied and pasted, but I was sort of trained out of it, with many American Products, because of security concerns, they make you type it in without dashes. But, I am so happy to be able to use the product. Thank you, for reaching out and I hope your music journey is exciting and inspired!
