Program freezes up after loading a project...new or old!

Well, I thought I had it fixed with downloading the drivers that was recommended, but Magic Movie Edit Pro Premium 2022 is still locking up. I have uninstalled the program three times. And updated to latest package. << I think the update is causing the problems...not sure but I got enough power to run Adobe products (some at the same time)....I'm not getting any crash reports just locking up.

Magix Version 24.0.1.107 (UDPE)

Lenovo I7, 32 Ram, Nvidia Geoforce RTX with 6 Ram

Windows 10

I now this is a user forum but disappointing that Magix has no "live" technical support?....

Just a couple of thoughts.

Since updating the Vdist runtimes, did you install any other program.

After installing any program, I usually check to make sure that installation has not clobbered the VDIST runtime installation.

You state that you have “....uninstalled the program three times. And updated to latest package”. Your last step should be to reupdate the VDist runtimes.

Is your Windows 10 fully patched. Remember, Patch Tuesday was a few days ago, maybe that clobbered something. On a default Windows 10 installation, these Monthly updates also checks for drivers. Sometimes Microsoft, in its wisdom replaces a fully functional driver with a generic one. I have configured my Windows not to do this. I like to update my drivers manually (using manufacturer's websites).

Using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates, update all of your hardware drivers (Not just graphics)

If that does not fix it, then head over here to log a ticket with Magix.

@Feltman

Hi

. . . . I have uninstalled the program three times . . . .

Did you uninstall the program and remove all the remnants of the program that were left behind following this procedure?

If not then you would not achieve a clean re-install.

Additionally should need to re-install the Visual C++ runtimes due to an issue with any components missing you should completely remove and re-install the whole Visual C++ reditribution package(s) from Microsoft here - this ensures that there is no potential version mismatch.

Never restore single components from unverifiable sources, you do not know what you may be getting as 'non optional extras'.
