Remove black border from GIF export

If I export a burst of (6 to 10) photos as a GIF image, MAGIX Mobie-Edit Pro puts a large regular black border all around the GIF.  However, if I do the same, but using a video (split into 6 sections) as the source I dont get the border.  

Is there a border setting to remove the border then exporting as a GIF?  

How do I get rid of this unwanted black border?

Hi,

What resolution are your photos and what are your project settings? Is the black border displayed in the preview monitor before export when the photos are selected?

I've cropped the photos to 3:4 size and using matching resolution.  I did get it working by adjusting the Size or zoom, but dont seem to be able to reproduct it. I give up!

Is that Movie Edit Pro 15 or Movie Edit Pro 2015 ?

Please be specific about the version, there exist both and abbreviating MEP 2015 to 15 causes confusion.

Me too, almost!

Without the sort of information we asked for, it's guesswork, but I'll try one. A 3:4 will obviously not fill the screen. Black borders are then inevitable.

MEP 15 Plus (not 2015):  

With two 881x768 JPG files (which appear as 557x518 once dragged in) and PAL 4:3 project / film settings (720x576) I get a border, but I would expect only small black edges. If I change the export settings to match the JPG, I get a regular sized border top and bottom. The same if I change the project settings to match as well as the export.
The Fix: was change the size (maximize and uncheck keep prooportions) and accept some distortion. Not perfect, but it will do.  One the resize is done (for each JPG) the playback is also full screen.

I have the same problem with a widescreen mpeg video clip, which I'm trying to crop to 4:3 and make a full screen GIF. It just will not do it. I get borders top+bottom, sides or both, but never without a border.  Same using an AVI file. Even after the fix that worked for JPG files (above), and the monitor shows full screen there are black borders top+bottom.

Anyway ... I think I've given up and will go with the best of what Ive got.

I think i'm sorted - needs zoom and cropping, but I still get some small black at top on bottom (in some instances).
