Screencapture quality

Hi guys,

I´m pretty new to Video Pro X. I can´t get a screen capture with a good quality. It always looks grainy and unfocused. I tried all frame rate settings etc. and exporting the video (also chose highest settings and different formats) won´t help.

Can someone help me?

What are you trying to capture eg. gaming, the video from of Youtube/Vimeo etc, screen operations for tutorials etc?

What is the resolution of the monitor you are capturing from, and are you capturing full screen or a portion of the screen?

For a tutorial I want to screen cap my work in Sequoia 15. My monitor is 1920x1080 and I was capturing the full screen.

These are the screen capture settings in Video Pro X (VPX) I used for full screen capture of the video clip shown below - note I set the framerate to 30 fps, ie one half the framerate of my monitors which is 60 fps.

Before exporting the above clip from VPX, I also applied an overall Sharpness setting of 30 in the Effects, Movie effects, Sharpness tab.

Due to the load VPX puts on the system during capture you may find that mouse responses may show slight a stutter - this can be seen in the clip above when I am cropping the image.

Can you tell us how you chose your final export settings with some screen grabs please?

Also the Screen capture MXV settings please.
