Hey, i was updating Magix movie edit pro 2021 plus, the installer stopped doing something and started uninstalling, but at the same time it removed the previous Magix movie edit pro 2021 plus installation.
Hi Ristro, and welcome to the user to user forums.
There hasn't been an update for movie edit pro 2021 for some time so did you try to update the program or accept an offer to upgrade the program to Movie Edit Pro Plus 2022? If it was the latter then yes the installer will first uninstall the old version before installing the new version. This is to prevent new parts of the program from possibly interacting with parts of the old program that may no longer be compatible.
If you want to revert back to MEP 2021, as you have not installed and registered MEP 2022 then the installer for 2021 should still be available for download from your account at magix.com.
Once installed you will get the popup to update - close the dialog, as indicated by the green arrows in the image below do not select Update later or Update now. The popup may show again.
If you want to upgrade to MEP 2022 - what is your computer specification? See this topic for details of what is required and please quote processor, graphics card/chipset make/model and your Windows version and build number in full .
Hey, thanks for the answer. I downloaded the program again via email. I installed it and made a new restore point, changed my windows 10 settings, and updated again. Now everything works. Indeed, the program was updated to version 2022. I have an Asus X570 motherboard, an AMD Ryzen 9 3900 processor and 32GB of memory so they should meet the requirements. Sincerely, Risto H
