Does anybody know whether or not it’s possible to adjust the overall colour temperature of your video in Movie Edit Pro (any versions). So for example, if you wanted to change the colour temperature to 6500K, is there a way to do this?
It certainly doesn't seem possible in my MEPP 2016 or 2017, but according to this announcement I found here it sounds as if it can be done in the latest version: http://magazine.magix.com/en/movie-edit-pro-release/
Perhaps a user of that latest product can advise whether the 'sliders' show the numerical temperature setting you require. My guess would be No.
I've never tried it, but one poor second best might be to use Effects > Video Effects > Color and use the White Point feature. IOW, experimentally click the pipette tool in various colours and observe the effect. Repeatedly using Undo, continue until you get a satisfactory result.
Yes, Andy is quite right. I assume the Hit Film Movie Essentials Pack comes with MEPP 2019. I think I actually received it with an earlier VPX installation but it is also available in MEP.
@jak.willis If you look at the UK pages of MAGIX, the Premium Version is at a bargain (but hurry, only until today) so the Upgrade offer is only £5 off a new purchase (however valid until 27th).
The Premium is £20 cheaper than the Plus Version at the moment, including a lot of additinoal content. However, I am not sure it the HitFilm Movie Essentials i s included, as the it may (or may not) be included in the Content Pack Premium.
MEP Premium 2018 using HitFilm Movies Essentials Pack (Included) using the Colour Temerature control allows you to either use a slider or type in the colour value.

Does it allow you to select 6500K? (The standard for TV & Films)
I've always bought the "upgrade" versions, so yes probably.
I'm sure others will know and presumably the Magix site will have the relevant info.
Sorry I can't be more help on this point.

So with the colour temperature feature, should I be able to change the colour temperature of my videos to match the D65 standard used in films and TV shows?
I tried using plugins under the extra effect tab, added the folder and imported nothing new.
Yes, I see exactly the same, i.e. Nothing! My impression, at the moment, is that this program does not, perhaps cannot be made to work with VPX/MEP. There seems to be no way to make either Magix program actually "see" the plugins; I notice their file extension is .HFPP. I would guess Magix programs do not recognise that extension.
Maybe a silly question, I have 2018 MEP Premium and installed all the content. Any tool in Hitfilm I use puts big hexagons on the video frame that persist on playback. What's up with that?
