@Steven-Wooten

Hi

Please use the abbreviation VDL for the product name.

Are you logging in to the computer using a Microsoft account?

If so, and OneDrive is active and syncing your documents to the cloud, then as a minimum you need to stop OneDrive from syncing the Magix folder, and its contents, and any other folders where you have your media files. See this article on how to do this.

What is your computer specification, and VDL 2026 version number, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full, and also what monitor/screen resolution(s) your are working with if this is a laptop.

The amount of free space on the hard drive(s) you have.

I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.

Are the graphics card drivers up to date?

A screen shot of the Program settings, Display options or Device options tab  would help.

If the crash occurs when adding media to the timeline. Download and install MediaInfo and analyse one of the clips and post the results, see this tutorial on how to setup MediaInfo and analyse a video clip for all the data required.

If the crash occurs when exporting, which preset your are using and did you make any changes to it?

Was there any error dialog that popped up when the crash occurred, if so what was the message?

If possible, repeat the export and watch the Movie time counter in the export dialog, if it crashes note the Movie time when it crashed.  On the timeline zoom in to show about 30 secs either side of the movie time noted, take a screenshot and post it your reply.

@AAProds

Hi Al

If OneDrive is syncing to the cloud, the folder, which will either be called Magix or Magix Projects, and assuming a default installation, will be in:

C:\Users\Username\OneDrive\Documents\

You can check this in the programs Settings, Folder tab - Project file path (top setting).

Hi John EB,

I tried to use the VDL and it is crashing again. :(

Steven-Wooten wrote on 5/20/2026, 3:41 PM

Is there any way you could remote into my pc and diagnose the issue?

Steven-Wooten wrote on 5/20/2026, 3:54 PM

Is this a sort of 'do it yourself' product support?

@Steven-Wooten

Hi Steven.

It's a user to user forum with little to no input from company staff members. Even the mods here are users, not employees.

I personally would be very wary of anyone taking control of any personal device which is effectively what you are asking for. A company tech helping an employee on a works device, that is different.

Ray.

If I had known MAGIX doesn't support their software I never would have purchased it. NEVER AGAIN

I get the following:
"installation source for this product is not available"    Error 1612
"File Path C:\Users\Dai\App\Data\Local\Temp\mgxd4z10aoz\product\Video_deluxe_2026_Plus_setup_x64.ms_
I can't find this on my C:
Also have "code execution could not proceed because QtQuickWidgetMx64Qt5.15 1 dlll was not found"
I have downloaded Video Pro x17 without any problem.
Also Movie Pro Edit plus - no problem.
I am using Windows 10.
I updated to a newer version of MEPP 2026 as requested as I could not get help from support for my recently bought version. That, from memory, is when the problem started.
Would it be possible to 'wind back' to an earlier version of MEPP 26 to resolve this problem.
Thanks in advance.
