Video Pro X17 stuck at "Initializing movie"

Hello, I have a problem with Video Pro X17.

I live in France so my windows 11 is in french, however I installed Video Pro X17 in  "International English" (Do not know if this makes a difference).

If I modify the windows layout, in my case I just display "Program monitor" and "project", the next time I open the program it is stuck at "Initializing movie", and I have to end the task and delete "Video_Pro_X.ini" and C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Common content.

Then I can open the program with a stock windows display.

I tried to send a support ticket, it does not work !!!

Edit: I received an answer from the support "bot/AI" so I replied to reach a human as noted !

@wilkoryte

Hi

Try the following:

  • Arrange the program interface as you want it to be

  • Select Window, Windows arrangement, Save, give the layout a name and save it.

  • Restart VPX.

If the issue persists we need more information:

Computer specification, Windows version and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full, and also what monitor/screen resolution(s) your are working with if this is a laptop.

I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.

Are the graphics card drivers up to date?

A screen shot of the Program settings, Display options or Device options tab  would help

HTH

Hello, thank you for your answer.

I saved two window arrangements, same effect : the program hangs at "Initializing movie" when reopening.

For the the record I have been using Video ProX since 2022 (X13, X16, then X17) I had zero issues until the X17 upgrade.

I upgraded to X17 for the NVIDIA driver issue.

I did not change Program options or anything, this a fresh install.

My drivers are up to date.

I added my system specs in signature.

I have a ticket open for the Magix support.

Hello, I had confirmation by the support that "Media pool" must remain visible.
