What? One Activation?

I've been going round in circles trying to find out how to release the activation of Xara Web Designer (Magix) and even though the support site says complete this form (no form) I am bemused what I should be doing. My old machine was damaged and all I am trying to do is restore the programme onto the new hard drive. I'm getting an error message telling me my serial number has already been used to many times (once). Please help; who do I contact to get it released?

Can you provide a link to the Support article.

You should be able to release the software yourself -:

Browse to magix.com and click the My Account icon top right of the home page
Login with the email address and password you registered the software with
Select My Products
You should now see your registered product(s) - click the Show more details link under Web Designer.
You should then see the activation for your old computer - deactivate it.
Try activating again on the new computer.

If this does not work - contact Support through the link at the top of the page - read this guide first on how to navigate the system.

Hi John, I had managed to find an answer from someone with the same problem and had managed to sort it out but thanks for responding. I looked at a few areas so it might take a while to retrace my steps to the form page. Or, no form page as the case might be. I'll definitely have a look and if I find it I post a link.

I have a new W11 laptop and am trying to activate Pro X Silver on it but my password for here does not work and PLEASE lose the "Captcha" VERY hard on 80yr old eyes!

Please remember these are user to user forums and not any contact for Magix staff so personal data, like email addresses, should never be posted here. Hence I have edited your latest post.

Web Designer is no longer sold by Magix so you may need to contact xara.com for more detailed help! However, have you tried logging into your Magix account, going to the My products page and checking the information there?

Thank you Jeff. Silly me! I should know better but I was just ***** off with magix as I had to get a new password which worked but NOT when I tried to activate pro X Silver. I just need the basic DAW on a jobbing Dell W11 laptop. I and my son have pro X3 and I have ProX 6 . We both love Samplitude but always find the MAGIX site very unfriendly. Oh yes, son has BorisFX as well now.

Can you clarify which program you are referring to ie:

Samplitude Pro X Silver was the free edition released about 10 years ago, it is very unlikely that the product can be activated?
Samplitude Pro X6 released May 2021 and is one of the full versions of Samplitude?

Please create a new post in the correct category of the forum ie Audio, Samplitude.
