I heard this song by Imagine Dragons on the radio several days ago, liked it and wanted to put my own spin on it. Since the vocals are a big part of the song, I had to make some adjustments in order to play it as an instrumental. I played all tracks on 3 separate keyboards.

Thanks for listening, if you do. Hope you like it
Trish

Sounds good! Always trust your ears; I think you got it the best it could be. The clap sound is perfect now, just the right volume. Intro is still a little weird with the rhythm but there's probably nothing you can do about that, and it's no big deal, sounds fine. Great work, I'm glad you uploaded it.

Hi Trish,
You really made a masterpiece, I know this song (which also really like me) and you have done a extraordinary job.
You are perfectly able to replace the vocal part (which runs through the whole song) with your piano, while also respecting the stop and reboot.
A crystal and clear sound, and your genius and personal interpretation make it for me one of your best work.
Brava Trish, I do not know if you can hear my applause, because they come from very far away, but they are sincere and all deserve it.

...mhmm Trish - this song is not mine. Some parts are not really in time/tune, I'm so sorry :-( Anyhow - it's only my small opinion :-)

Greetings from Hamburg - Andreas

Great version, Trish. Didn't know the original and had to look it up, but your interpretation puts a whole different spin on it. The slight discrepancies in timing here and there bring a human touch to it that add to its charm, rather than detract, to my ears anyway. Super performances on all three keyboards - and you turned this around really quickly, it seems. Trish on a roll . . . .now there's a prospect to savour.

Cheers,
Nick

Hi Trish,

Wonderful job transposing the vocal melody to the keyboard.

I always thought this was a fun song with a slight "Island" feel to it. Your version sounds a little more laid back and at times has a Greek island sound to it which I find very cool. Could be one of the keyboard voicings that suggests this, along with timing (starts and stops).

Super job with this quirky little gem!

Cheers,

Stu

music very far from your usual way of making music.
