This is an original composition written for Kristine Welles. I guess you could say I'm a one man band here. I did all tracks on the recording including Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboard and drum tracks. The audio was recorded using Magix Samplitude Music Studio 14. I am a big believer in improvisation and everything but the opening melody lines in the verses are improvised. Because of this you may notice some minor imperfections with my phrases.
This is also the first video I have ever shot and edited so it's not that fantastic. Thank you for all of your nice compliments. I really appreciate them.

I´ve made on myself many years ago selfmade music in a band too. Wunderfull time it was. But here your demonstration of your own music remember me of this time and I must say, its exellent!!!

Well done Richard. A very nice composition, and I have to admit I too am envious of your skills.

I assume you asked to be a contact because you would like some honest feedback? The dishonest kind is of little real value other than ego stroking.

The video was not bad, but I assume your focus is the music, yes?

First of all, I have to base my opinion entirely on the quality of the streaming audio, which leaves just a little to be desired.

I also did not dig the bass snapping/popping. It didn't seem to go with the rest of the piece and was a bit of a distraction.

The other thing is that the stereo soundstage seems a little cluttered making the piece sound muddled and indistinct. I'd suggest widening the soundstage a bit and panning the instruments a little to give them some sonic separation. I think you'll find it will make the presentation much more listenable.

Overall, I liked it very much. Keep up the good work.

You assume right in saying the focus is the video is the music. When I recorded and mixed this song I was not very familiar with Samplitude. Today however I am much better with it. If I had mixed this piece today I would have panned the instruments and even done a better job equalizing it. I see how the slap bass does not 100% fit with the tune but I really enjoy hearing slap bass. I have never heard slap bass in a slow song so quite like that and I thought it would be interesting and change things up a bit from the first verse. I do agree with much of what you have said and thank you for saying it. I don't think I will be remixing this song in the near future but if I do I will keep that in mind.

Excellent work of guitar and bass but perhaps I have varied some the accompaniment of the keyboards (in effects they are only four key accords)
