Title: No Holiday (piano ending mix)
Artists: Guitorb
Album: Collage

This is the final installment, song #12,from my album "Collage". 12 months=12 songs. It's been fun. As a consequence of my decision to make a 1-song-per-month album,I've learned a lot about music production this year. And,as you might expect,I have many out takes. In fact, some of my song choices for this album have changed. I will try and post these in the months ahead. In the meantime I'm going to focus more effort on guitar compositions(you might have noticed an absence of guitar on most of these songs).

I want to thank all who took the time to leave those encouraging comments. And a special thanks to TommyG for an album title that fits like a glove!

-All the Best,Ted

Mythological creatures are awesome, and so is this song! Probably your best song ever! I love the main synth part. It sounds really innocent and full of youth, almost like ice cream truck music, haha!

Wow, 12 songs in 12 months. In less time I have uploaded (I'll go count them)...63 songs. It kinda makes me feel like I should slow down and focus on perfecting each song as you have clearly done. But I guess a lot of my songs had been accumulated over the last 5 or 6 years. I had plenty of ideas before I even had the software.

Anyway, quality is more important than quantity, and your music is very high quality. 5*

p.s. Is the artwork by your daughter again? I like it, and it fits the music very well.

Congratulations for the project, especially this song is my child like style filled with illusion, and a very good production.

Bonjour Ted ....

A light music, and I think, of circumstance. Are we not, very soon the holidays, this season? Sure this is only my opinion, but that's what I feel while listening. (Father Christmas on his sleigh, pulled by his reindeer.) Unusual music from you, but done with great skill, and feelings.
I know now that soon we will hear again, your guitar MAGIC, and I look forward to hearing your new creations.
Bravo again for the music of today ....

I really like it!! especially when it starts to get crazy....

well well  there is a lot going on behind the scene...

dwarfs messing around playing with the machine gun...

rain deers nosing into boxes full of springs

red noses in white faces....

and the end so purely clean and nice!

A very fine tuned song! I really DO like it.

Fantastic job, I'm glad that you have finished your album project, so I'm writing an article for "Eventi Jazz" - January 2011.

Ciao da sandro

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

i love the lightness vs crazyness of this track...

p.s.:

is the "b-side" on soundcloud as well..?

Time flies Ted... a year behind us but leaves such a great satisfaction to complete a project....congratulations.

I like the synth and effects through probably deep blue glitch, a light mood given by the arp sequences yet so heavy...

The cover is awesome...excellent all in all.

ZIGGI wrote on 12/4/2010, 3:17 PM

Hey Ted,

Now that is a cool finish to the Album.

Light and airy, with a modern touch. Made me feel young again, so a very good and fitting cover.

Nice pretty one. remindes me of childrentunes. But also different from your other collages, because the radio voices are missing, which you usually use in other collages.
