RE: Creating a Fancy Title Intro using Magix Movie Edit Pro
Hi and thanks for this tutorial. I'm trying to follow it but there is something I don't quite understand. I'm talking about a small title, at the bottom, that you start explaining from 4:20. I can't seem to figure out how to apply that mask with chromakey with alpha effect. As far as I understand, we can only apply a mask to an effect that has a particular icon (rectangle with a circle inside in

RE: Getting started: MAGIX Photo Story
Having experience of Proshow Producer I thought I would be able to fathom out how to do pan and zoom effects although it would not be the same easy route as Proshow. It was easy to do transitions in Photostory Deluxe 2016 but I am still confused on how to do pan and zoom effects. The amount of effects etc. Photostory can do according to the demo files makes it seem a bargain at the price as

RE: MEP & VPX6 with Pixelan SpiceMaster Pro - Part 1 - Introduction to animated masks for fades & transitions
Hi José, Well done! Now look at the beginning of the video again and you will see that the first method is to simply overlap the two videos on track 1, no need to put the second video on track 2. Your second and third examples would be better this way. This makes a transition and you can adjust the length of the transition that you want. Then drag the Spicemaster effect onto the transition

RE: MEP & VPX6 with Pixelan SpiceMaster Pro - Part 1 - Introduction to animated masks for fades & transitions
Hello, I finally solved the problem with the audio.  It had to do with the settings . Now I have one question.  I have not been able to achieve the effect of seeing the two images at the same time on the screen,  one fading out the other fading in.  Could you please give an explanation of how this is done? What I get,  after applying the spice,  is a rather abrupt change from one clip to

RE: MEP Split screen effect using Section, Size/Position
Hi Matt, This method uses section and zoom under Size/Position. I could not find a way to use Camera/Zoom and maintain the split screen properly. Camera/zoom is a movement effect that moves the frame, creating the impression of camera movement or zoom. It overrides the split screen part. Remember that the top image, that is the one sitting on top (track 2)  is the one that shows up first.

    RE: Multiple moving masks
AH ... HAaaa! Eureka !! I have found it. Although the stack I made in the comments above works fine, the stack you provided in your pdf file needs a bit of extra explanation. You mention chromakey but you don't mention what to do in that effect. The effect was a clear circle and a sand effect on the outside of the circle. (I use sand for distortion) So, to get the right effect I reversed the

    RE: Multiple moving masks
Thanks John for this tutorial. However, I am using MEP2014 plus and your instructions did not work in this version. When I stacked according to your instructions I got the reverse of what was expected: the white part was clear and the clear part was mozaic (I used sand). When I added the second .png in the stack as illustrated, it had no effect. So I tried something else: I reversed the order

RE: How to add titles in Movie Edit Pro
Hi Jenny, Apart from gradient text you can achieve all the others with the standard Title Editor. Here are some examples to get you started:       More dramatic titles (including animation) can be created with the X3D option:     In this final example I've made an X3D title and then opened Video effects > Art filter and draggged the Substitution slider:   It's

RE: How to add titles in Movie Edit Pro
Hi Wojciech,   I don't have or know of any tutorial specifically on 'stunning text effects'. But if you learn the basic techniques of fades, transitions and key frame animation then you should be able to create a wide variety of them. Study those basics in the Help or the PDF manual and by browsing (and searching) the Q&A and Forum sections of this site. Then if you need more detailed

Hi. I am a newbie hier. I noticed your tutorials which are really helpful (except one- YT movie is being blocked in Germany because of music used there... Germany is a strange country;))) Ok. I wanted to ask you if you have any tutorial on how to create stunning floating text effects. This is exactly what I need most now... that within my movie texts appear, disappear, float and so

    RE: A Minute with MAGIX - #02 Auto-Tune Effect
Rulew, If you search for Auto-Tune you will not find it. In Magix it is called "Elastic Audio". Follow the steps above (1-5) to get the "Auto-Tune" like effect. I hope that helps.

RE: How to reduce a clip to nothing then expand it again to full size
It didn't work for me.  I found I had to establish the keyframes first, then modify the middle one.  It makes for a streamlined workflow. 1.  Import the picture. 2.  Go to Effects/Movement Effects/Size/Position. 3.  Set a keyframe at the beginning, middle, and end of the object. 4.  Click on the middle keyframe icon in the effects timeline. 5.  Change the width to 1 and tab out of the

Where exactly is this auto-tune effect found?  I went to the web site for more information but saw nothing about the auto-tune effect.  I would really check it out.  Also, I need help getting the sounds from Music Maker Premium into Music Maker 2013.  Can you give me directions?   HELP!!! RE: How to use Effect Masks in Movie Edit Pro
Yes, I agree. Effect Masks is one of the features not included in the basic versions (both MX and 2013). Looks like I've slipped into the bad habit of assuming everyone knows I have the premium versions. My tutorial was carelessly headed, and should have explicitly said 'It was done using MEP 2013 Premium'. -- Terry, East Grinstead, UK

Thanks for trying to help me.. but the "help" menu will not let me download any "free download". Please look at this page and down the page You got the comparison. http://www.magix.com/gb/movie-edit-pro/detail/popups/product-comparison/ I got "Movie Edit Pro MX" and I think it is the same as "Movie Edit Pro 2013" on that page. Now You can see that I do not have "Effect masks" marked...

RE: How to use Effect Masks in Movie Edit Pro
That effect mask Oval8_1920x1080.jpg is included in MEP 17, MX and 2013 (premium versions) assuming you've added all extra files via Help > Free download. And as the tutorial says, it's just an example. There are 34 in the folder here. And the post clearly says: "It was done using MEP 2013 but the steps should be identical or very similar in earlier versions." -- Terry, East Grinstead,

RE: 3D Video Editing in MEP17plusHD
SMcQ, good news! It is much simpler to deal with Fuji W3 (which I own, too) and Side-by-side material than with Stereo-Pairs. W3 files are automatically detected to be Stereo3D (in multistream format) by the program. Side-by-side material has to be tagged as 3D. To do this go to "effects->Stereo-3D->properties", then specify the exact side-by-side source property. All different kind of

    RE: Basics: Titles
Most of the information given in this video is intuitive from the layout of the program. Anyone who's used Microsoft Word has seen the compose screen. What is NOT covered is how to apply the titles once they've been created. I've been trying to learn this program, and the demo section is very vague. Do I hit "Apply to All" (all what?) Do I just click on OK? Neither of them appears to do anything.

    RE: Plugins directory
Good stuff!  The sound editor used in the video is called Audacity.  Actually, Music Maker can also convert a stereo file to mono itself.  To convert a stereo file to mono, drag the file to an empty track in the "arranger" area, "solo" only that track, select file/export/audio as wave (or press Alt+W), select the "mono" option and save the file.  Alternatively, Music Maker also has a built-in
