I transfer from vhs to pc with magix video saver. The transfered video ends up as an MXV file that cant be opened.   starting to p..... me off here.

I have got as far as page 11 and now when I click Create a new Project and go into page 12, when I click on the drop down there is only one saying Acer Crystal Eye webcam (USB- D Show) How can I get USB 2861 to be there so I can click on it? Please help.

Just wondering, does VHS to DVD have a different version of magix included with it? I bought the Video Converter box with Magix in it (SE) and updated to the Windows 8 version. The version I have doesn't seem to have some of the functions you mentioned, Such as export and finishing time. You can't see the dropped frame as well (which would be handy). i hope this works...i´ve never acomplish to transfer the vhs film at first try...if the film has sound, the image dissapears and vice-versa...i´m starting to think this was just a waste of my $$$ and time....

Have followed all suggested however flicker was not eliminated from the finished item, believe VHS tapes were from 16mm film stock. Therefore the flicker cannot be eliminated Majix 14 pro. Have also tried direct conversion from 16mm projected onto a screen then recorded on digital camcorder, same result. Any suggestions for 16 - 8 mm film stock conversion.
