Recording from a turntable via USB
Some things you should know about recording from a turntable. The "Red and White" USB device is designed for line level audio and video and does not include a phono pre-amp.  So if your turntable does not have a line level output (many do not), this device (see link below) will not produce enough output for the audio to be recognized. http://www.magix.com/gb/accessories/ You either need a

    VHS to DVD Guidance
I found the initial set up and tutorial easy to follow via the MAGIX - Open Workshop I did however come across a few issues around the synchronisation of sound and action, picture quality etc, as I was embarking on transferring a number of VHS videos to DVD I thought it wise to draft a simple guidance document for myself. I have been using MAGIX for about two years now and I personally

About new features of Video Pro X
"Import AVI file sequences from compositing programs like Jahshaka or After  Effects™ via the integrated alpha channel support. Insert .psd files with multiple layers without converting them directly into your project." This is from details of Video Pro X. Who made this? I mean, how i can do that?

    RE: A Minute with MAGIX - #02 Auto-Tune Effect
@tranceful @Jesse-Torres The "Elastic Audio" component was superseded by the more streamlined "Vocal Tune" years ago. You'd still find this in the same manner as "Elastic Audio", e.g. by right-clicking on an audio object to bring up the context menu, and going to the "Pitch & Tempo" sub menu => "Vocal Tune" option. The current hotkey is "S". In the more current product generations that use

RE: Recording from a turntable via USB
Thanks for that post - usb connections are on the radar! Having just (re)joined magix, I've requested info as to whether I could use my audio cleaning deluxe lab 2004 pack with a recently purchase Ion turntable that outputs to computer via usb. Perhaps I'm looking for a simpler answer.

RE: How to use Effect Masks in Movie Edit Pro
That effect mask Oval8_1920x1080.jpg is included in MEP 17, MX and 2013 (premium versions) assuming you've added all extra files via Help > Free download. And as the tutorial says, it's just an example. There are 34 in the folder here. And the post clearly says: "It was done using MEP 2013 but the steps should be identical or very similar in earlier versions." -- Terry, East Grinstead,

RE: 3D Video Editing in MEP17plusHD
My LG passive 3D TV plays video files in 3D directly from my Fuji cameras or my Sony HDR-TD10 or DXG 3-D camcorders via an HDMI cable.  It also plays Time Warner On Demand selections as well as commercial 3D BluRays automatically (that is, with no manual format selection on the TV's remote).  However, I have not been successful with burning a BluRay from my cameras, playing the BluRay in my 3D
