level meters are frozen. they read peak and then hold. HOW TO UNFREEZE

My Samplitude 2014 has worked flawlessly since new. Now the VU (LEVEL) METERS ARE FROZEN SHOWING PEAKS AND THE HOLDING. How to change this back to how it was ?

@peter1968 I read a comment on Reddit some weeks ago from a former support staff member who worked for 10 years at Magix. In December they get like 80% of their yearly support request volume, because all kinds of users want to finish their yearly

@px41 Magix is massively downsizing. They have sold Sound Forge to Boris FX, which already released a new version Sound Forge 2026. Of course, Magix is technically still responsible that you can activate Sound Forge 18. But, you cannot do much

I was able to get past the crashing by deleting the database. Since this was a new istall, I did not have much to lose. However, after a day, I got more of the same. My solution has been to ask for a refund. Adios.

@peter1968 That was the case in the past when they still had good customer support. They had an insolvency in 2023, that's why they now have a new parent company. They are currently trimming everything that doesn't generate enough revenue
