  @Bradley-Oates Welcome to the Magix forums. Like @browj2 I have never needed to go into Notepad to adjust the file settings. That you are needing to do so seems to suggest that, either you did not install the various Soundpools and Instruments etc.

  There's an easier way to add a VSTi. I just drag the vst that I want to use from the plugin explorer and drop into the track area. It will then open automatically.
