RE: Uncompressed video still has a loss of quality?
@AaronC1 Correct. Codecs, in general, are like jpegs. They are processed files to produce video footage that can be watched by anyone with the correct codecs to play them back with the appropriate software/hardware. Even most commercial non-Pro

    Shuttle wheel use for MEP.
Do shuttle wheels work with MEP, or would I need Pro-X? Do they produce smoother audio playback in MEP than dragging the cursor or using the virtual scrub slider? The thing I miss most from working with analog equipment is the ability to turn off

RE: Remix Agent - request for improvements
@browj2 Thanks for the explanation, John. At least that sort of explains how you work with audio, although I'm still guessing a bit at this stage. My experience is probably different to your own and can easily look at a sound file and edit to the

    RE: Changing Video Resolutions
@jak.willis All my experience comes from having to prep stills of some of my stills images for giant advertising posters. (Sometimes more than fifteen to twenty feet high.) One thing to be aware of is the larger you go, the less contrast you should

RE: What do these encoder options mean in H.264?
@johnebaker I will second that after much fruitless fettling. Sometimes in some settings where you get an 'auto' option, you can improve things by selecting 'Best' or 'better' instead, but that's about it. Messing around with bit rates often ends

RE: how to delete background noise in audio recording
@daeell29-ukysse Hi . . . . I have the free version without these options. Is there still a way for me to get rid of background "white noise"? . . . Without upgrading the program to the Plus or Premium version, you are very restricted on noise

Will Magix intend to introduce full support for hardware coding through an external graphics card? Such a small HandBrake program does it without a problem;) AMD Ryzen without iGPU is not the best choice to work in Magix. I am thinking about

    RE: AC3 or MPEG
@jak.willis Compatibility. AC3 or Dolby Digital as it is more commonly known will be more backward compatible on older DVD and Blu-Ray players. Both are still lossy codecs but results vary between the two depending on how much you want to compress

@browj2, @wabu, @Scenestealer Hi everyone . . . . Now they have the idea to restart with b/w chemestry for young people and nerds . . . . There has been a trend over the last 6 - 8 years of bringing back film processing and wet chemistry for Media

    RE: 2704 x 1520 30fps?
If you intend to put your exported mp4 video onto a usb stick, then the most widely readable formatting for the usb would be FAT32. This would then be readable by nearly all equipment including tvs, however, there will be a file limit size of 4Gb.

RE: Making videos with multiple screens and scenes - how to sync them?
@Neil-Kendall On top of what @emmrecs wrote, which as well as being quite comprehensive, is giving very good advice, I would first like to ask the spec of your laptop. You would not believe the processing power you are going to need or the hard disc

Hi Jeff, Here is the link to the one that I purchased, the Pro model, 1080P, though not through Amazon. Look at the comments by Steve H. I wouldn't purchase the older version 720P, but so far, I find the 1080P to be very good. There is a slight

What type of equipment, or what are the reasons you have to use Neat Video? I've learned that anything you can do, white balance, gain, fStop, shutter, while recording, will save you a big headache trying to compensate post production. Best to stay

RE: Bitrate vs Quality sliders for encoding video
The quality you wish to produce comes down to how it is viewed and the quality of the original file itself. You can not improve on the quality of the original file no matter what you do. There is no point in additing additional bit depth or rate
