RE: compatability with windows 10
Hi . . . I understand correctly that you are using Windows 10 and are able to import video via the firewire into MEP? . . . On my old computer, not a Dell, running Windows 10 I was able to capture via Firewire from an old JVC camera. The procedure

RE: Problem with stereo3d export side-by-side
The problem with 3D export is unlikely to be with MEP as I have exported quite a few 3d videos over the years from Fuji W1 and W3 and JVC TD1. The problem is usually that different players, particularly tvs, seem to require different formats. I

RE: Problem with stereo3d export side-by-side
It doesn't surprise me that you are having trouble finding the right export properties for your Fuji W3 as one of the reasons for the quick end to the 3D boom was the very frustrating lack of compatibility between different makes of equipment. A

No sound when importing AVCHD video.
No audio playback when importing AVCHD video from my JVC Everio camcorder. I am using MEP v17.0.3.183 in a Win 10 environment. I downloaded the MPEG-4 FULL Codec Upgrade, with no change in audio. Importing audio-only media (.m4a) plays the audio

Magix suddenly doesn't let me hear any audio
Since today my Magix Video Deluxe just doesn't give any sound anymore. Yesterday I recorded and editted a video without any problems. Today I started my computer, came back to edit some more videos and the sound was complete gone. The recorded files

RE: VPX and importing dual-stream MVC 3D stereo formats - which work?
Hi there! OK, busy week here, and not nearly enough time to look into this, but I got your newest file, and it's not like anything I've yet seen in mediainfo before, but it looks like the internals are all there, and it doesn't look like the usual

RE: VPX and importing dual-stream MVC 3D stereo formats - which work?
Hi, It's certainly possible that the original clip I posted was actually set to AVCHD and not the MP4 setting as I thought, as it was shot at the beginning of last year and I am not certain. I usually use the MP4 setting as I prefer the quality.

RE: VPX and importing dual-stream MVC 3D stereo formats - which work?
Hi, I took two brief shots with the TD1 this morning, one set on AVCHD, and the other with the same shot but set to AVCHD 3D, which was a firmware upgrade on the camera to give a higher quality AVCHD format. I have attached a fuller data sheet of

I'll try to answer some of your questions, although I have a very intensive filming and editing schedule over the next few months, so no time to play around with 3d filming, much as I would like to. Maybe later in the year I will get time to do some

Hi Mindsong, After reading your post, I tried a quick experiment. For my general 3d for fun, I use either my Fuji W3 like you, or my JVC TD1 which both record a packaged 3d file in one container, so I thought I would try a pair of Panasonic FZ1000s

Original video is in color, Magix preview shows it as black and white
I am trying to back up VHS-C (compact) videos from a 30-year-old JVC camcorder using an old VCR. The original movies show on the television in color. However, when I try to import them to Magix, the preview screen shows them as black and white.

THe source is from a JVC GY-HM100U and is in native .mov format for FCP which produced an MPEG 1/2 files but I converted it to MPEG 4 and all is well. Also changed the file format on the camera to native MP4 so that will do the trick. THe MP4
