USB Converter not seen.
Program installed, select 'import VHS video', device not seen on screen (teaching video shows i/p option of s-video or plugs). Found drivers not loaded, used help pages to navigate to driver files, downloaded and installed. Still no joy, deleted all

Having been in the Mini DV world for many years, and now transferring VHS via an analogue capture solution (in my case, an internal capture card), I would strongly strongly strongly recommend finding a Firewire PCMCIA card for your laptop. DV

Transferring from computer to DVD
when transferring a 90 min VHS tape to the computer it shows 90 mins have been captured but when I burn a DVD the contents have been speeded up and the DVD lasts less than 90 mins. Can anyone help or let me know if I have set something up wrong.

I used to have a Sony RDR HXD870 DVD recorder until the burner became worn but you could widely adjust fit a disc and 130 min was pretty good to (I usually made 150 min my max for VHS). Specs: mainly Australia PAL off-air and official movie tapes.

Can't watch video, only hear audio when I want to digitize from VHS
I have Rescue Your Videotapes 8.0 When I connect video, video does not appear, but you can hear audio. Scart plugs in and the sound works fine, but not video. Do I need to change the setting in 'user defined': resolution, frame rate and ratio
