Audio Cleaning for Dummies
My approach to any audio cleaning is really hit and miss. An area I really know nothing about. Shortly though I hope to revisit old family camcorder tapes, originally saved to VHS and since converted to MP4 and so guess at least some basic knowledge

Sorry, not really an answer to your question, just an alternative solution. I too have recently utilised 'Rescue Your Videotapes' to transfer family VHS to a MP4 file. However once that had been completed I reverted back to my Magix Movie Edit Pro

RE: What do these encoder options mean in H.264?
@johnebaker I will second that after much fruitless fettling. Sometimes in some settings where you get an 'auto' option, you can improve things by selecting 'Best' or 'better' instead, but that's about it. Messing around with bit rates often ends

RE: “Smart render could not be started”
@me_again Hi Andy . . . . . MPEG is not a container format, but a video standard . . . . Yes and no - we should more precisely define which MPEG we are talking about: The MPEG-1 was a file format/video standard and is little used now - it was

If I may pop in on this, since no one has stated a method [that I personally settled on and utilize] for transcoding ('converting to a different codec/format') without losing quality (losing much 'detail') - if I may share what I do: When

RE: Speed - 8mm film scanned at 20fps - need 16fps
@CubeAce Hi Ray, I have the Pro version and it is definitely worth it for cleaning up videos shot in low-light with a lot of noise, VHS imports, and, as per my post, digitized 8mm and Super 8 film. It has limitations, like trying to clean up a video

RE: Soundforge 13 recording in 32-Bit 384000 is not working.
Sound Forge internally runs at floating point 32 bit, but saves the file as to what the user specifies (at least up to supported max). AFAIK, the max sample rate in SF is 192kHz. Most pro music studios and S/FX recordists record at 88.2k or 96k, in

RE: [Closed] Video Capture with Razer Stargazer
Hi, welcome to the Magix forums. I confess I had to look up exactly what the Razer Stargazer is! I gather it is, essentially, an HD webcam, particularly designed for gamers. Is that correct? I notice the system requirements (as shown on this page)

I hope that MAGIX will make bug fix update to fix that But there is no bug to "fix"! I regularly capture VHS video for conversion to DVD, admittedly using VPX (latest version) but it is always 4:3. Also, please bear in mind your version of MEP is

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums. I will assume from what you write that you are using MEP Pro 2017 to capture your footage. To capture VHS as 4:3 you need to set up your project to use that format. See the screenshot below This is what you see when

RE: Frame rate and selecton alignment are wrong for US standard videos
Detelecining can be done using VirtualDub2 or the older VirtualDub. The function to do it is IVTC with frame rate reduction which is done to 23.976. That number is selected automatically. This works well for properly telecined NTSC DVD or VHS videos
