RE: no sound on playback.
Hey jim-ballard, do you have chosen the right midi input for the recording track? So are there any visible midi notes in the recorded midi event? By pressing "G" you can easily en-/disable midi inline editing to see if there are any midi

RE: VPX Setting, Adjusting and Analyzing Loudness - Plugins
@Craigster Hi Craig, Yes, I have Samplitude Pro X3 Suite. I took a look at the Loudness Meter and there is no graph, only the readout, so the two other tools would be helpful. The YouLean Meter can be adjusted to the desired level with the paid-for

@Leonard-Lea I can only repeat here what I wrote before: It is very, very highly unlikely that P&GD is causing any problem to PS, or vice versa. The fact that whatever problem you are now experiencing with PS appears to have started after you

RE: ACID Pro Next and Melodyne
I just ran into this one myself using AP Next 1.0.3 build 32, was it ever resolved? Fixed in AP 10? I edit two events with Melodyne Editor (4.24.001 64 bit), save the project, and when I open it again ACID has decided to add Melodyne to all of the

RE: How to drop in an audio edit in the middle of an existing file
Hi @Frank-Wittosch and welcome to the Sound Forge discussion group. There a few ways to drop additional audio into an existing file. I think the most intuitive way would be to record new lines and takes to a new file (same sample rate and bit depth)

RE: MEP System Requirements
On the "Overload Optimization" tick box - I can't remember if I had enabled that when I first installed MEP 2020 Plus or not. (That is, if it defaulted to Enabled.) In any event, I disabled it a few days ago, thinking that my system is no longer

@Andrus-Valvur Hi, Which version? In any event, in Samplitude Pro X3, System Options is at the top like a folder, Audio Setup is the first subfolder below it. There is no option Audio Systems. However, the manual indicates that there is and it must

Thanks @James-Lo the Event mode does have the ripple option. I just did not see it. Good to know and thanks again.

Actually, there is a ripple option under Options->Event->Auto Ripple but that's a different feature. I'm only asking because I have a faint memory of a video where someone was moving events around willy nilly and all the surrounding events

RE: When do you reach for the event tool?
Auto option? Not that I'm aware of, but I don't use the events option much. From my experience, it works very similar to Vegas (and CD Arc), you can use the 'S' key to divide an existing file, make two (or more) events and move, copy/paste, ect. I

RE: When do you reach for the event tool?
Is there an option to have two events automatically make room for an event inserted between them? e.g. say you have events A B and C in a timeline, and you want to move C between A and B. Is there a way to do that without manually making sufficient

RE: When do you reach for the event tool?
For me, mostly CD authoring, but i burn very few CDs these days. Otherwise It is easier to move an event segments around the timeline than copy/paste. X-fades are easy as well.

I remember learning about it a while ago, but have never used it for some reason. In what real-world circumstances does it shine?
