RE: VPX10 - Updated bug list as at patch 16.0.2.322
Another week, no bug fixes. I have found another irritant. Occasionally, after working on a project for a couple of hours, something that I do causes the playback marker to only playback from the start. Switching to another movie, it works fine. Go

RE: VPX10 - Updated bug list as at patch 16.0.2.322
I tried a trial and every EDL I exported crashes Samplitude. VEGAS AAFs are a complete mess. Resolve uses DNxHD/R video and MXF wrapped audio, which (one of them) causes Samplitide to crash every single time. That being said, I really don't like the

    RE: Video Preview Playback Issue
Ok, thanks emmrecs. Here ya go: I am using mostly .mp4 and a few .mov video clips. The majority are 1980x1080 16:9 at 29.97 fps 16 tracks 48000 Hrz. I may render video at most any size or resolution depending upon its application (use). I don't

    RE: Editing an audio track
@CubeAce Hi Ray, No, the problem is upstream of ME3. You can link other audio programs in Program Settings, Folders as the External Audio Editor. In MEP/VPX as I have shown, the right-click command to Edit Wave Externally does not show up on MP4,

    RE: Editing an audio track
@Scenestealer Hi Peter, Not quite. The command does not show up in either MEP2019 or VPX10 on mp4, mov and mts files, which is why it's #2 on the bug list for VPX. As you can see in the video, it worked in MEP2016, but was fragile, and it worked in

@CubeAce @emmrecs @johnebaker @me_again Here is the video showing MEP2019, MEP2016 and VPX7, all using the same source file. In MEP2019 the "Edit wave externally" command does not show up when right-clicking on a mp4, mov or mts file. John CB

    RE: Editing an audio track
@CubeAce Hi Ray, No. No danger of affecting the source audio of a video clip. The audio is mixed-down and a new file created which is sent out to the external audio editor. This new file does get modified in the external audio editor when exiting

    RE: Editing an audio track
@browj2 Hi John . . . . Start a new project, turn off automatic proxy files, import a video and do a right-click on the audio part; "Edit audio in external editor" will probably not be there . . . . With mp4 and MOV files it is not there, however

RE: Changing over to DaVinci Resolve unless I get this solved!
@Former user Hi . . . . The Xeon processor is way above minimum spec . . . . This is correct only in so far as it has more cores and speed than required, however it does not have the integrated GPU, so there is no GPU acceleration (Hardware

@browj2 Hi John. Whew! It must have taken some time to collate those errors/bugs, let alone writing them all up as you have done! Well done, sir! Since you are a very experienced user of the software I will PM you with my suggestion of how to reply

RE: Encoder delays video/advances audio out of sync MEP17
For stretching audio, I've learned that: You can't simply grab the end of the audio clip in the Arranger and drag it to the new length. Time stretch is an Audio Effect based on Tempo, not duration, which means having to convert the desired positive

VPX10 - Updated bug list as at patch 16.0.2.322
I decided to reproduce the bug list here under a heading that shows the corresponding patch, mainly because I received a reply from Magix today indicating that they have many tickets open and cannot fix all of the bugs in a short time. Really? Many

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums. MOV files do, indeed, require that Quicktime be installed; I wonder whether your "quicktime alternative" is really not suitable for what you need? This page is the one where you can download and install the latest

    Time-lapse EOS R
Hello all, first time post. Sorry If I have unintentionally broken some rules, I tried my best to follow the guidelines for asking a question. MEP version: 18.0.2.235 (UDP3) Intel I7 -4790K, 16GB RAM, Nvidia 1080 Graphics Card Windows 10 I'm using a

Hi John, Here is a 12 sec clip of the Zoom Video. That first part in my timeline. Though this was split with a video splitter, I am not exactly sure if it was altered in any way in the process. I selected 'Direct Stream Cut- No re-encoding mode:

"Regarding the MP4/MOV comparison the MP4 is sharper and not quite so dark (the difference is subtle)." Thanks for that John EB - and yes that was prob a typo on the output - and yes I've been sharpening the images. Again (after your advice) with 17

RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
I never answered John EB's question: "the use of MOV files on your web site instead of MP4" The only reason (at this point) is because MEP15 will not allow me to export to MP4 @ 1080X720. If I export to a QT movie it will. However again I hope this

Does anyone see any difference in the quality of these two files? (any difference at all)? Both are the same file size ... Don't be concerned with the audio bit rate - I can change that easily

RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
Hi I think you misunderstood - External drives can be bottle necks so don't change! OK, so you said SD, but 720(P?) is actually classified as HD just not Full HD. As far as I can remember MEP15 was not optimised for HD. Thanks for the Additional

RE: No audio from .mts files
This sounds familiar to me too, but backwards. I could edit Panasonic.mts files for years, I did an edit with Apple.mov, things went downhill (no audio) and I had to wipe my disc, reload Win10 and everything else before VPX worked correctly

    No audio from .mts files
So, I been editing from .mov files as there have been a few updates. I go to do a quick edit from my old Panasonic camera - .mts files, and no audio! I reboot, restart, let the latest update install.... nothing. I was in a hurry! What is up? I guess
