RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
@browj2 Hi John. They Shall Not Grow Old. Taken from British Imperial War Museum footage, (over 60,000 hours worth was sorted through to choose the best footage.) Mostly it was restored by hand by 400 rotorscope artists working for a company called

RE: 'Jerky' movement of transport items in finished edit.
@raoul-beaman I have been using a Nikon D500 DSLR with equally expensive Nikkor constant aperture zoom lenses. Nice output but not without it's problems as it's primarily for my stills work. The inbuilt stereo amp is quite good with an external mic

RE: Supplied music in the MEP free extras.
@browj2 @johnebaker Thank you both for your continued information and support. John CB. I've been using Cubase since it's early days and I'm more comfortable working with it than the MEP mixer. It will handle MEP video exports and allow me to sync

RE: Can people please list their useful third party effects here?
@CubeAce Hi Ray . . . . Combined with a good 'Ninja' or 'Crab' walk it does work reasonably well . . . I bet you get some funny looks from people not in the know 😂 Haven't yet had the chance to find out yet John 😇 A good tip I forgot to mention -

RE: Can people please list their useful third party effects here?
@johnebaker Hi John. If you mean not fixable in post-production, I was sadly beginning to come to the same conclusion, hence trying out various walking methods and adding an x-axis stabilizer, which also needs some adjustment and somewhat fiddly

RE: Can people please list their useful third party effects here?
@johnebaker I certainly don't have a pro budget for video John, so I make do with what I have. Basically, that's one recently acquired Osmo Pocket, 4k miniature video recorder with built in gimbals, and a D500 camera capable of 4k. I have an x-axis

@browj2, @wabu, @Scenestealer Hi everyone . . . . Now they have the idea to restart with b/w chemestry for young people and nerds . . . . There has been a trend over the last 6 - 8 years of bringing back film processing and wet chemistry for Media

RE: Bitrate vs Quality sliders for encoding video
@johnebaker Hi John. I am fairly new to digital video, less than two years but I've been taking digital stills with higher end cameras since about 2009 and doing voluntary work for charitable trusts and local councils for about five years. Video

RE: Bitrate vs Quality sliders for encoding video
@jak.willis, @johnebaker Hi John, what you have described is the job for the quality slider, ie, the movement side of things in the compression used within the encoding algorithm. The bit rate compression happens from the sensor readings and

Hi Jak. Pretty much, but because we don't see individual frames with our eyes, some blur in the individual frames around a moving subject within a video can actually give a more natural looking effect that trying to make it look sharper or have

RE: Slide is totally black if image intensity reduced for creating SBS 3D
For the video in question the stereoscopic pictures were taken by a Fuji W3 and then unpacked to a side by side full resolution image using Stereo Photo Maker. I set the slide length to be 20s. Yes, I wanted some text against the darkened slide and

@Wiffle . . . . It is ok before the drop shadow but adds the words Table Caption after shadow is added. Very strange! . . . . How odd - I never noticed that when previewing will have a look when I can. . . . . (BTW) Are you the only one who answers

RE: 2 little questions about video editing / software
@Apollo89x IIRC you mentioned in one post that the video you are recording contains something that is moving relatively fast or has a lot of fast action eg sports action. In which case recording at 50fps, ie 50p, is probably the best recording.

RE: When is a hardware acceleration possible with MEP and Nvidia GTX950?
