  Hi @Michael-Parton, in Sound Forge Audio Studio (SFAS), I am not aware of any other way to encode an MP3 (or any other format for that matter) than through the 'Save' or 'Save as' command,The default 'temp' folder is C:\Users\..user

  The files are MP3. BUT, the missing audio occurs only in Audio Studio, even with MP3's recorded prior to having this problem. The 'proxy' setting is for lossy files playback. I have not read any reports of that particular issue though.
