@Thej68cal Hi, As you were told, the MP3 standard only supports mono and stereo. This is not a problem with SFAS. You are not getting anything more by using Movie Edit Pro and exporting to MP3. John CB

Please do, Rick. It'd be very useful to know if the WAVs are somehow inherently flawed and causing the glitches during the MP3 encoding process. Then I'll have to wonder at what stage the flaws occurred: during initial clean up in SF18, or later

First and foremost thank you The company I do narration for requires mp3 44.1, I raised the bit rate when I noticed the distortion in the submissions I thought a higher bit rate might correct. Maybe time for a new computer?

This was not on the description and order page that I sawI came no where close to 10 text pagesFrom my days in ascii files, a character is what ever you could see in a text file About 20 kb mp3 files (less), It doesn't matter I learned too

If you're playing MP3 (or another lossy format) try enabling the 'Always proxy compressed formats' option in the "Options> Preferences> General" menu. If that's no help, experiment with a different buffer playback setting but I am not sure

@AAProds Hi Al The issue with the different end times is due to the MP3 audio being timing is frame based, frame has a fixed number of samples, 1152 per frame and if the sample rate is 44.1kHz, the audio frames are marginally out of sync and run

@Ronald-Krijger De nieuwste versie was MP3 Maker 19 uit 2016. Maar die versie draait mogelijk niet meer op moderne Windows 10 en 11. Ik raad je aan om over te stappen op moderne, gratis apps zoals MusicBee. The latest version was MP3 Maker 19

AVI - Lagarith with MP3 audio

[Solved] MP3 deluxe 19 and Album Artwork

I really want to like this program but the sluggishness of it really frustrates me. And one issue is the artwork not showing up in a timely manner. I can click on a song and wait some time before the artwork displays. And that's if it even displays

@scott-james This can be caused by editing compressed audio files like MP3. It's recommended to convert them to WAV first. If you enable to always proxy compressed audio files in the Sound Forge program preferences, this will be done

Hi @Michael-Parton, in Sound Forge Audio Studio (SFAS), I am not aware of any other way to encode an MP3 (or any other format for that matter) than through the 'Save' or 'Save as' command,The default 'temp' folder is C:\Users\..user

@SP. and @rraud it's possible you guys were correct from the very start: maybe it IS this setting about editing MP3s in a non-compressed proxy file. I've tried this in SF18 and I can't replicate the issue so far. However, what confuses me is that
