  @Peter-Widt Hi The issue you are having would suggest the images are from a mobile phone and were taken in different orientations, ie some are vertical (portrait) and others horizontal (landscape), or if from 2 different devices, one of is a mobile

  @Iris-Willis Hi. If there have been any operating system updates to your husbands phone it is conceivable the phone has been updated to use the latest codec. Apple continuously does this. It does not want it's users to use other operating system

  Hi CubeAce. Yes it is an HEIC file from a new iPhone, however my husband's phone also had HEIC files and I never had any issues with that previously. EDIT: in fact this one particular photo was taken on my husband's phone.....never had issues before
