Activating NewBlue TotalFX

Christopher-Smith1979 wrote on 2/7/2023, 4:46 AM

I have just bought Magix Video Pro14 which includes NewBlue TotalFX Magix Edition.  I have downloaded and installed all the NewBlue effects and they all appear in the Video Pro Effects screen but when I apply them they have the red cross and FX watermark.  I have used the NewBlue Application Manager to activate them as shown by the attached screen shots.  What is going wrong.  Please help as I have been trying to solve this all night!

Hi Christopher,

I think that you forgot to upload the screen shots, or are you having trouble uploading using the upload button? It has been problematic over the last month or so.

I think that this has been answered. Did you do a search on the forum?

Hi Christopher,

Oops! Not a good idea. Remove those uploads immediately as they contain your serial numbers. You need to hide them.

Hi and welcome to the user to user forums.

Did you try the following and press this option?

If you did and it didn't work, try going to your firewall / Antivirus programs and add all Movie Studio and related program folders to the exclusions list for scanning in case the security measures are stopping interactive communication between applications.

Some Antivirus software will give 'false positives' to some program activities and block them.

Ray.

Hi Ray,

Was there not something about having to uninstall the NB Manager and getting the new one first?

@Christopher-Smith1979 In the past I've had problems like this with the red cross even though activation has been done, try going to Windows Settings - System - Storage - delete Temporary files, in my case this fixed it more than once, I think Windows/Magix was using some saved settings/thumbnails,

Hi. I finally found the post for the alternative link here.

I have no idea if the link there works or not but if it doesn't then that avenue of correcting the problem has gone.

Let us know if it works please.

[Edit] Just realised it was a fix for NB essentials not Total FX so I think both John CB and myself remember the fix but for the wrong program. Try contacting New Blue or Gid's solution.

Sorry.

Ray.

Hi CubeAce. found the link from before here https://www.magix.info/us/forum/how-to-access-newblue-fx-in-ms-suite--1308578/?page=3#write-comment

That worked for me. Basically install NB Titler Pro 7 Ultimate then re activate NB stuff. Watermarks magically disappear. NewBlue titler still very slow though compared other effects.

Thanks for all help on this forum
