Hi Jordin.

Next if you haven't tried yet, try opening the sound mixer in VPX and make sure the output channel has a limiter placed in the record chain and look at each channel that has audio and make sure the sliders don't allow any of the meters to go over 0dbm.

Looking at your other images. Personally I would never put project files onto the desktop. They ideally should not even be on the C: drive. Where projects are stored or where exports are sent can be set up in the program settings.

Also make sure the drives are not fragmented and have plenty of free space for the program to move files around on. Especially the C: drive as the Temp folders normally get placed there.

Try to structure your library video clips for projects as well as the projects themselves. Put them into folders when you set a project up.

Last when you have finished a project back it up to another drive.

Also please double check your audio settings both in Windows and MEP. In MEP make sure it is set to the WAV driver. Make sure all have the same bit rate as well as sampling rate. You may have to reboot windows to get the changes to take. For that use the restart command rather than shut down and the start button.

Last but not least.Never keep the video files you need to use in a folder kept on line using something like One Drive or Google drive as the speeds won't be fast enough.

Hi Jordin.

Looks like you have plenty of space on the drives. More than enough to not worry about for some time I would guess.

As long as the icons glow blue they are switched on. Both are good in the images you show.

MEP.= Movie Edit Pro. VPX = Video Pro X. Both program setup procedures are very similar and in a lot of instances are interchangeable except VPX 13 which has a new interface and setup procedure. If you have Video Pro X 13 someone else may have to take over the job identifying problems as I am on Video Pro X 11.

Please don't be sorry. My bad.

Did you also check the individual mixer sound channel sliders and make sure none of the channels exceeded 0 on the scales?

If so any improvement yet?

Ray.

Hi Jordin.

In my opinion that is neither static, clipping, or DC offset.

It is either an audio buffer problem or a drive transfer speed problem.

Remember when I asked you to change everything to 24 bit 48kHz?

Now try altering everything from 24 bit to 16 bit in those settings but keep them at 48kHz please?

Then de-fragment the drive the files are on (unless it is an SSD or an M2 type of drive, then don't) . Especially if you have a habit of deleting takes and clips.

Can you give us a screen grab of the audio settings in the program like this one please?

@Jordin-Mayo

I fully concur with what @CubeAce (Ray) has suggested.

That "static" (which, as Rays says, actually isn't static) is the result of serious problems of interruptions to the signal flow; it is especially evident in the .mp4 video file you posted. Essentially, "something" (possibly a buffer setting) is actively preventing the continuous and stable flow of both audio and video data from the source hard drive; such continuity and stability of flow is absolutely essential for a successful export.

changed audio settings back to the way Ray recommended. @CubeAce

Snapshot that was requested as well,

And I successfully defragged the Y drive which is the drive that I use for my video clips.

All of my new video projects I now save into the Z drive, as recommended that they not be on the C: or in the same drive as the original video files.

I do still have old MAGIX video projects on the C: drive but I never touch those projects anymore.
I also keep some sound effects on the C: drive that I like to return to often but I could always switch them over to the Y.

After making the changes suggested, its still making that sound.
Thanks a lot for continually helping me, I know this seems never ending haha but I do appreciate it so much! Hopefully we can get this problem resolved soon!!

Hi Jordin.

You should not really need 6 buffers. Try copying my sound settings. My image is the one above yours.

Make sure any other inputs and outputs are set to the same bit and sample settings. Even if you think they are not in use.

Do you know the specs of your Z drive? What type of drive is it? If it is an older hard drive what is the spindle speed and cache size? If you don't know or can't find out can you tell us the make and model. IE, Western Digital Black, Seagate Barracuda etc. Is it internal or external?

An easy way to find out is to download CrystalDiskInfo. It will tell you the health of each drive on your system and give the technical data where it can.

Hi

Are the drives J:, Y: and Z: internal to the computer or external USB drives?

If the projects are on an external USB drive, is it a USB 3 drive connected to a USB 3 port or connected to a USB hub?

@CubeAce,

Defragging of drives is no longer necessary with Windows 10, by default weekly automatic drive optimisation (defrags) for HDD, or trims for SSD drives, unless changed by the user, as can be seen below.

But before that make sure your system is up to date.

Going back on all your previous posts the only thing I can find so far is you seem to more than be several updates behind on Windows 10. You are on build 19042. I am currently on 19043.1110.

Maybe you should check for updates on the nvidia studio driver for your card as well at the nvidia site.

Latest driver version for the nvidia DCH Studio driver should be 471.68.

Hi Jordin.

I keep forgetting you are on VPX 13.

This could be a bug. I need John's input on this because I don't have the same options on VPX 11. There have been problems with VPX 13 with exports using different export functions. This could be one of them and needs reporting to Magix as a bug.

I do not have the third import export option you have in your first image but it may be worth un-ticking the middle box 'Use hardware acceleration for export where possible' and see if that works. I think John has only managed to get an Intel hardware export to work so far but I could be wrong.

In the nvidia drop-down boxes you are supposed to find your series of graphics card. use these settings for your card.

Then click the search button.

Did you update Windows?

Ray.

@Jordin-Mayo

Hi

Assuming you are not gaming on the PC, the Nvidia driver search options for your computer are as shown below for the Studio drivers (SD).

If you are gaming on the PC, then use the Game Ready drivers (GRD).

Note: do not select the 10 series Notebooks drivers.

Hi Jordin.

John has corrected me that you are on VPX 11. I have not seen three options in the section of your first image before so assumed without looking it was VPX 13. It must be an option only available to AMD systems or the Ryzen processor. If the driver updates don't work please still try not ticking the 'Use hardware acceleration for export if possible' option. Something is causing the blocks of audio not to be read in the correct order or is repeating blocks of audio.

Ray.
