There is one other setting I completely forgot about but should not really be the problem for you to try out to see if we can avoid you having to do that.

Right click the speaker icon hidden by the drop-down menu and make sure the option in blue is checked.

Also does the scroll wheel in the monitor of my image show on your setup? If not click on the three bars for the drop-down menu and select to activate the scroll wheel and slider.

As I say it should not really make a difference but is audio related within the program so who knows?

Not sure what wheel you are talking about, so here is a screenshot.

And I changed it. It was originally on "no scrubbing",
but it did not fix the issue.

The drop down menu is in the actual monitor pane. Three horizontal bars in the top left had corner.

Yes that was the setting. When you move the timeline cursor slowly now or use the scroll wheel or speed slider, you will hear the audio as well. I didn't think it would help with the problem but it may make editing easier for you.

It was worth a try.

I think this may be considered a bug now but only on specific systems. It may also be already fixed in the new version of Movie Edit pro as the program settings seem a lot different in nature as does the way the program now uses its resources. It seems more flexible, but it may not be. The new version though still has a few bugs in it.

I wanted to ask, do you think I should go ahead and contact Magix Support over this issue in case it is a bug?

Hi Jordin.

It is up to the individual to report a bug if they feel it could be a bug. I think it could be but can't personally reproduce it to confirm.

If you are the only person to report this behaviour then I don't think anything will be done, but if enough other users also experience and report it they may look into it as I'm sure they don't want their user base to shrink unnecessarily.

Looking at it from an outsiders perspective I feel you do not do what has traditionally been done in the past. You carry on recording regardless of mistakes and possibly produce huge files for the system and program to hunt through and repeatedly go back to find in quick succession to find and place in a new order. On the other hand I have no real idea how large one of these files may be.

However. This may be the way more new users behave in future so it would pay to at least take notice.

So entirely up to you but how is Magix to know about any potential problems if they are not reported?

Do people not affected care?

Could it be related to another unidentified as yet problem?

Does the new version now out have this problem or been cured or is now worse?

We only know here when people tell us, so assume the same is true for Magix developers.

Ray, you've been so helpful and attentive the entire time I've been in this forum, thank you for that.
I am trying to figure out how to contact Magix, but I cant quite figure it out. How do I go about doing that?
