I have rescinded my role as moderator on the forum. Although, typically, I appear to still have the M badge (for now).

This is partly because I grew rather bored of the issues I discussed above and being increasingly seen as the bad guy. Also partly because your frustrations have, for the longest time, also been my frustrations. And partly because I'm currently done with the kind of work I used to do in Acid and have moved on to other things.

I keep getting an error when I close out of AP10. I'll pay more attention next time, but I think it was something related to "store" and "gui".....

I also feel the File Explorer Tab should default open to the main ACID content stored folder each time. Not a bug, but still.....

I don't like how there is a location box for soundpools/loops in folder settings, but it won't let you enter anything there to redirect to an external drive....frustrating upon initial setup. In other music programs, you can change/update location and the files stored auto migrate to the new.... That would be super cool and on par with others!

When I get to using ACID more, I'm sure I'll have more to contribute here. Is AP10 bugs useful here still? If not, then maybe I need a special upgrade code for v11 ;) ... one must try, right?!

But seriously, how can I better help the fixing and progress of AP11/12? Let me know here or other.

I have not had this issue after updating to the latest version of AP10, did you install the latest version?

Yes, I think its 10.6, or 10.0.6 is the latest and says I'm current when I double check at the updater....

Ah, yes mine says the same, with (Build 9) next to it.
I think I disabled the online store pop-up option as well, it's been a while, not sure.
Does it happen everytime or once in a while?

You could try:
Preferences->General Tab->Uncheck 'Use newsfeed to stay informed about Acid product updates'
(It probably wil disable update notification as well, keep that in mind)
Mine is still checked, not sure what I did before.

Or How do I stop the pop up ads that I get from Magix when I start my PC?

Just a guess because I thought I had issue back then with an online ad pop up from Acid Pro, where I got the same 'store' and 'gui' notification. It was Acid Pro communicating and opening a webstore from Magix, as far as I can remember.

Couple things still popping up, but mostly ok so far in getting reacquainted. I've had to do the Cntrl+shift thing once again, and I think I had that sign out store error pop up again once or twice.. but I havent unchecked the new feed/updates thing as you mentioned becuase I would like that to stay in place as designed. I may reconsider eventually if bug keeps popping up or seems to be causing other issues.

I have spent so much money on the new updates and I still can't get it to Work as a master for reason. I upgraded to the new reason as well.. It's not supported it seems. Even the reason rack plugin is not feeding the middle signal any audio. Very very disappointed as alot of my projects were created using acid and a reason slave.. about To... give... up.

@Bryan-Higgins @leon-g The last Reason version that supports Rewire was version 10. The rack plugin only works in DAWs which are officially compatible.

However, please fix APU Modern EQ, it's lovely. Expecially when it doesn't crash ACID, would be even nicer, if I could use it in SoundForge too

Neither from within Acid Pro nor from any other program when windows is usually outputting sound from my Realtek HD Audio device. I'm strangely only noticing this happens when Acid Pro is open and usually resolves itself a couple of minutes after closing Acid Pro Suite. I'm going to see if I can try to replicate this with repeatable results, but I'm wondering if anyone else is encountering this at all...?

Sound Forge Pro 17 includes modernEQ, and Sound Forge Pro 17 Suite includes dynamicEQ.

So, it (or it's more featured version) is already there.

If I tried to run audio thru my onboard audio card (Realtek), I'm sure it would have issues... I never use it, the audio delay is bad, and would freeze my computer even with demo songs when I accidentally had it set to standard windows audio....

I only use an audio interface with updated drivers, or ASIO to direct signal paths. No issues like that.

If I understand what you are referring to....

Good to know AP11 runs good in Windows 11, I will eventually upgrade my trusty Win 10 machine... when I can afford it that is.... lol

I purchased and installed ACMS 11.0 with Vegas Pro 21.
The installation worked flawlessly. However, after starting ACID, the error -59 appears during initialization.
Removed ACID and manually deleted the files in APPDATA and ProgramData.
Reinstalled, but the error during installation remains. Does anyone have any ideas?

@snibchi Usually reinstalling should solve this problem. But if I remember it correctly, some users could also start ACID by disabling Windows Defender and Antivirus temporarily.

If this doesn't work you might try to uninstall ACID again via the Windows troubleshooter.

In addition to @SP.'s comment also see this article re Error -59 and uninstall following those insructions, failure to clean up what is left behind often still causes errors after re-installation.
