@AAM

Hi

We need more information to help diagnose the issue you are having:

The specification of your computer system including Windows version and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card(s) make/model in full, and also what monitor/screen resolution(s) you are working with if this is a laptop.

I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.

What changed between working and not working eg Windows upgrade or update, different computer etc

Are you getting any error messages, if so then please quote them in full or provide screen shots.

Are the graphics card/integrated GPU drivers up to date?

@AAM If it's possible for you it would be helpful if you can upload screenshot of the error message and maybe also a detailed error description, if it is available in the Error Massage Box.

"I am experiencing a persistent export failure at 99% progress when creating a 4K/UHD slideshow.

My system details: LG gram laptop (Intel Graphics). The issue started after upgrading to the 2026 version. I have tried disabling hardware acceleration in the program settings (Y), but the export remains extremely slow or fails at the final muxing stage.

Please advise if there is a known patch or a specific setting to resolve this encoding conflict on Intel-based systems. Thank you."

@SP.

I don't know what an error message box is

SP. wrote on 6/7/2026, 8:22 AM

@AAM Thank you. Yes, that is the message box. There can be a problem with the program settings. You can reset the program settings by navigating into C:\Users\*YourWindowsUsername*\AppData\Roaming\Magix\Videodeluxe*versionnumber*_plus\ and either rename the Videodeluxe.ini file to a different name, for example, Videodeluxe.ini.bak, or delete it. The next time you open the program it will run with its default settings.

SP. wrote on 6/7/2026, 8:32 AM

@Jozsef-Novobaczky If a range of your project, excluding the very end, exports without issues, there might be a corrupted image or other object right at the end that is causing the export to fail at 99%.

AAM wrote on 6/7/2026, 8:35 AM

@SP. Thanks.

I tried that a few times and it never worked

AAM wrote on 6/7/2026, 8:38 AM

@Jozsef-Novobaczky thanks

I can not operate the program, so how can I export etc? I have deleted and reinstalled it and that doesn't fix it

Hi

Which version of Windows is running on your PC?

@johnebaker

Sorry, Windows 10 Home

johnebaker wrote on 6/9/2026, 6:08 AM

@AAM

Thanks for the Windows version.

Error code 5 Access violation is a Window issue, he most likely cause is a Windows Update.

To check your system, close all running programs then:-

  1. Hold down the Windows Key and press X

    Select - Terminal (Admin) or Powershell (Admin), , this will open a new dialog pane.

  2. Type in or copy and paste the command:

  3. DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    and press the Enter key to run

  4. Once this completes repeat step 2 for each of the following commands in this order:

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    SFC /SCANNOW

    Note:- During the RestoreHealth run, the progress may appear to freeze at 63 % for a while (up to 30 mins) as new Windows files are downloaded.
  5. Restart the computer - using the Restart option not Shut down

If the program still errors, then try a clean re-install to remove fragments left behind by the Windows Uninstaller. I use Revo Uninstaller Pro (paid for), however there is Revo Uninstaller Portable - this is a self-contained program which requires no installation, and is free.

Open the Zip file and copy/extract the folder to a USB stick or into your Documents folder, if you do not have WinZip or any other software that can open Zip files, Windows Explorer can, right click the Zip and select Open with, Windows Explorer.

Run the RevoUPort.exe, and uninstall Video Deluxe.

Once the uninstall completes, you will be given the option to Scan for leftovers, if offered use the Safe or moderate scan setting.

The Scan is in 2 parts, Registry left overs and files/folders.

Delete the left overs found. Note: If you have other Magix programs installed then some of their registry settings and files/folders may appear in the two scans, ensure that only the Video Deluxe entries are selected and delated.

Restart the computer - using the Restart option not Shut down

Install Video Deluxe.

Disclaimer: Running the Windows system file fix and using Revo Uninstaller are at your own risk, if you do not feel comfortable doing this, then seek help from your local computer shop.
