Video files not loading

Vincent-OBrien wrote on 10/3/2025, 6:18 AM

I am using Magix Studio 23. I can open the software and add some photos. When I start adding video files, I can load the first 4 files. After that, I try to load 12 additional files. The loading gets to about 80% and then crashes, closing the program and restarting it. I have experienced this 4 time in succession. I am using a Dell Desktop with Intel Core I5. I have 8G of processer and 16 G of storagel. I have not experience this particular error before. Can you help please?

@Vincent-OBrien

Hi

Can you clarify the following please:

. . . Magix Studio 23 . . . .

Do you mean Movie Studio v23.x.x.x ie Movie Studio 2024, or Movie Studio 2023 ie v22.x.x.x ?

. . . . . I am using a Dell Desktop with Intel Core I5 . . .

We need more information, Windows version and program version, see this topic for what is required, and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full.

I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.

As the issues occur when adding video to the timeline.

Download and install MediaInfo and analyse one of the clips, or more if they are from different sources, and post the results, see this tutorial on how to set up MediaInfo and analyse a video clip for all the data required.

Was there any error dialog that popped up when the crash occurred, if so what was the message?

Are the graphics card/integrated GPU drivers up to date?

A screen shot of the Program settings, Device options tab  would help.
