Hi Friends.

First a little update on happenings at my end. Having quit smoking for almost 10 months, I was using nicotine chewing gum as an alternate which I decided to say good bye to last week end. It was tough, however, I have survived this phase as well with your blessings.

With this struggle there was kind of a lull on creative side - I started two three  projects, didn't like the way they were proceeding and dropped them. Internet connectivity is another issue which is haunting me these days.

Well finally here is a Fiction based present under Sci-Fi category and depicts an escape attempt by a rebel group from an imaginary plante Jana through a space ship. The adventure reflects the chill & excitement of some close calls, surviving neutron rays, dodging the caretakers of galactic boundries, hiding & surviving meteor showers etc.

Technically the work is done in old school R&B of 1950's and the theme is wooven around the bass track. I have done a lot of layering in this track & for some there might be too much Acid in it....

Hello ....

You touch many genres and styles. Your music often tells a story, you know to stage with talent and passion. Here the music seems to come from a series of 1970/80 ....

Good ....

An interesting film for my brain - we call it "Kopfkino" in German....
It is (how you told) "old school-SciFi" but it sounds good and some old SciFi-movies didn´t have such a good melody.

Very professional job !!! ciao da sandro

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

Thats´s total cool. Nice work, I ´m jealous, that this song is not composed by myself.

It´s a good way to start with the bass and to build the whole song from this startpoint. Nice job, applause.

I can see myself riding that escape ship from planet Jana. Dodging the lasers from the empire. I started to throttle to hyperdrive and nothing happens. Here comes the enemy fleet. Too bad for them I was good to maneuver within the asteroid belt. They crashed among the rocks, and I sped off finally into deep space. A few dialogues in the background with my pretty co pilot as the credits roll. And this was the soundtrack....

Love it. 5*****
