@peter1968 I read a comment on Reddit some weeks ago from a former support staff member who worked for 10 years at Magix. In December they get like 80% of their yearly support request volume, because all kinds of users want to finish their yearly

@px41 Magix is massively downsizing. They have sold Sound Forge to Boris FX, which already released a new version Sound Forge 2026. Of course, Magix is technically still responsible that you can activate Sound Forge 18. But, you cannot do much

I was able to get past the crashing by deleting the database. Since this was a new istall, I did not have much to lose. However, after a day, I got more of the same. My solution has been to ask for a refund. Adios.

@peter1968 That was the case in the past when they still had good customer support. They had an insolvency in 2023, that's why they now have a new parent company. They are currently trimming everything that doesn't generate enough revenue

Unable to reregister Sound Forge Pro 10.0

@rraud What will they f__ up next? If there is a next.. Since today Sound Forge is listed as a new app in the Boris FX Hub (as is Vegas). If they took the software over from Magix we might finally get some updates in the near future.
