  @folco-p Hi. Make sure your Windows Sound settings allows your microphone input to be used by applications and is not set to private. When the program is running you should be able to see the volume working in the Windows sound settings. Ray.

  @Riley-Coach The simplest way is to start Music Maker as administrator. Make a right click on the program icon and then select this option in the right click menu. If the write-protected error message then goes away, there is definitely a privilege
