RE: trying to update the 2019 to 2020 but get error code 57
@Richard-Schmitter I just lost uploading a detailed reply Richard so this version will be somewhat shorter. I agree with John that further info may help some people here help you more. I can see your reluctance to upgrade but bewildered by so many

Hi, CubeAce You're absolutely correct and I was aware of everything you mentioned - I have 4 workstations on their own Network (off line) and 4 TB of Samsung SSD Raid that they use for Temp Storage and rendering - each station has 2 TB of SSD

RE: Cursor latency after stopping playback.
Changing the sound card latency does not affect this Soundforge behavior. I also work with DAW Reaper, and cursor latency is fine. Problem is only with Soundforge when I set the ASIO MADIface USB driver in options. If I use eg Windows Classic Wave

RE: Thoughts from a ONCE loyal customer
I think people's expectations of what ACID Pro 8/9 would be, simply because MAGIX issued upgrades, was way out of line. BTW - @Former user what I expected for my $400 was a stable build. Period!! I am a working composer who, in the midst of

@phonebooth Further to John Baker's comments, I should have added that many users have trouble playing back 1 video clip, especially 4k; trying to play 2 or more video clips at the same time can quickly become problematic unless the computer is

RE: [Closed] Bad Crumb
@Kristine-Kerr Hi This is a bit of a chicken and egg situation. My recommendation would be to always purchase 64 bit software where available, if 64 bit is not available, then I would look for alternatives. In the case of Catalina, not only has this

@Andrew-Thompson Hi Andrew. Hardware only really ever needs changing if it can't cope with new projects because either you have new equipment that can't be read of converted by older software or the processing power of the PC. Other reasons might

Not to hijack the thread, but I noticed (actually noticed this before but forgot about it) that the HitFilm effects don't work unless in Compatibility or Alternative Video mode. They also work in Standard mode (direct3D, hardware acceleration) if I

@johnebaker Did a fresh start with the new PC, wiped the C; drive, and reinstalled everything. Nothing changed with the rendering process. Found the problem that contributes to the crummy DVDs is the hardware encoding. If I uncheck the hardware

RE: Movie Edit Pro :.: 19.0.2.49
Aah, now I understand. I've got a humble GeForce 750ti. The studio drivers don't support it. I would change the card but it's unfortunate that even the latest Nvidia card can't be used in MEP for hardware encoding and I don't want to change my

RE: Movie Edit Pro :.: 19.0.2.49
FWIW, Nvidia made a change to the way that NVENC works in drivers after 411.x. For example, in v 15 of a competitor's program, the option for Hardware Encoding is grayed out if one has newer Nvidia drivers. The competitor issued a patch for v 17 to

RE: Licensing after a Win10 update?
@pmikep . . . . I did install MEP to my D: drive so that it would be independent of the OS. Still, upon upgrading from XP to Win7 (or maybe it was reinstalling Win7 after new hardware), MEP wanted to be reactivated over the Internet. . . .

Yesterday I jury-rigged my Dell with a 2nd power supply to power the 6 pin PCIe power for the GTX-1650 Super. I played with MEP and a competitor's product last night. Some observations: First, there is currently no "Studio" driver for the 1650

@CubeAce Hi Ray I have been playing with the Tech Talk project and, found the following: AFAICS - the Intro/Outro's are not hardware accelerated on the UHD 630 iGPU. With the UHD project, 3840 x 2160 50 fps, the render rate drops down to about 0.5

@Scenestealer Hi Peter. Yes very nice intro sequence and seeing the timeline SS certainly explains the slow rendering, for the first 7 seconds anyway but maybe not for the simpler(?) talking head shots. It is certainly not untypical for intros like

@browj2 Hi John. First I'm surprised there would have been a difference in colour unless your HDMI and DVI outputs had different specifications for video. (Not impossible to happen but may be unlikely) I don't think that would have been at the card

Thank GOD for this forum! I'm using MAGIX MEP 17.01.xxx for the last couple of years on a crappy core 2 duo win 10x machine (4gb ram) with an nvidia card, and had a ton of these title backgrounds changing to black all over the place in a 2 minute
