I cannot think of much else at this point. You should be seeing the waveform being built whilst recording. Make sure the other settings in 'Record options' are disabled or set to normal. You may want to set the soundcard and SF 'new file' sample

@Xenofex2 Hi George, See this thread, one of many. You have to work at getting good, or at least, acceptable audio. Nothing is free. You should have the audio/video on separate tracks. Make the audio track higher to see the waveform or half waveform

I didnt mean the MP3 option - I meant the removed effects chain button at the bottom of the waveform window and the ability to easily add some effects and then preview and finally render within the same window. Or did I miss something?
