    RE: MP3 conversion glitches
@Paul-Fegan If you open the Sound Forge program preferences while holding the SHIFT key, there will be an additional Internal tab available. There you should be able to activate the legacy MP3 encoder. This one might work better.

    RE: MP3 conversion glitches
The lengths vary, Rick. They could be as little as a few seconds (opening credits) to just over an hour (a long chapter). I exported the recorded audio as WAV from REAPER (been doing that for years and nothing's changed on that end) and then edited

    RE: Syncing 2 audio files!?!?
converted them both into MP3s, still can't line them up perfectly. FYI the audio tracks are NOT identical, 1 has vocals, the other is stripped of the vocals. other than that they're identical.

    RE: Syncing 2 audio files!?!?
@nhong-xiong Try selecting both audio tracks & right click Align ,,. tried it, it threw them outta alignment even more!? does it make a difference if it is a Mp4 file (both are) vs mp3 file?

    RE: Short bursts of static
If this is occurring with MP3 and other lossy formats, try enabling "Always proxy compressed formats" in the 'Options> Preferences> General' menu. btw, welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users community @Pat-DeLaquil.

RE: MP3 files skipping / glitching when opened ...
This is curious. I don't think I had done anything beyond what I had previously described. But when I checked a WAV file, it played OK. Then I went into MP3 and again checked "Always proxy compressed formats," and then it played OK. I'll watch this

Can't save sound recordings from vinyl rsestoration tool as mp3

Hi again Paul, which MP3 encoder are you using in SFP-18? The 'new' default encoder or the legacy encoder which must be enabled in the (hidden) 'internal' menu to access it.I will try encoding @192kps/44.1k with both the SFP-18 encoders to check for

RE: Why in Sound Forge Pro 18 is there two version of Channel Converter?
I have no idea, You can contact support but there probably is no logical reason.FYI,, there are also two MP3 encoders. The dumbed-down default encoder is a little faster but the legacy encoder has more settings. The legacy encoder can be enabled in

RE: Unable to import MKV files into Video deluxe 2026 Plus, Windows 10
@Gra_Ham Hi The problem with the MKV file is the video/audio codecs combination, ie MPEG-4 and MP3 respectively, these are not a supported combination. Try running the MKV file through a video converter such as Handbrake converting to MP4 h.264,

    RE: Syncing 2 audio files!?!?
@nhong-xiong Sorry, I use a different editor most of the time that allows you to slip the audio wherever you want on the timeline, it doesn't lock to each frame so fine adjustment is possible, but Magix seems to be locked to the frames/grid, it's

    RE: MP3 conversion glitches
Please do, Rick. It'd be very useful to know if the WAVs are somehow inherently flawed and causing the glitches during the MP3 encoding process. Then I'll have to wonder at what stage the flaws occurred: during initial clean up in SF18, or later

    RE: Kodak C330 audio
@nicolesharp100 Of note is that Video Deluxe won't export MP4 ie H264 below 24fps; I don't know if VPX does. VPX will add duplicate frames as necessary to "fill up" the frame rate to 24 (or whatever you set) for export. Best to set the desired

    RE: Glitches
@scott-james This can be caused by editing compressed audio files like MP3. It's recommended to convert them to WAV first. If you enable to always proxy compressed audio files in the Sound Forge program preferences, this will be done
