They should appear as an entry in Windows settings, Apps, however if there is not one listed then do not install any - they are not necessary.

It does not look like I have these codecs installed. What's plan B. I just did 4 takes and loaded them into Magix and it's broken all takes at some point along the way.

Below is a list of all the codecs I have installed.

I have tried all sorts today including changing camera settings and at some point the video in all of them pixelates/breaks up just a little bit.

I'm currently working on a project so any help I can get to have this problem resolve is greatly appreciated

Another way to check codecs is from Autoruns, under the codec tab.

From the list of codecs it would appear you have BandiCam installed - this may be the cause of the issue if you are using MPEG 2 or 4 encoded video.

Try uninstalling BandiCam, restart the computer and check that the Bandi codecs, re have been removed and then try importing your video again.

Using WMP to list the codecs will, AFAIK, only display the codecs it uses, it is certainly not listing some codecs I have installed.

The only program I have that lists all codecs is GSpot Codec Information Appliance

I uninstalled Bandicam and restarted and checked the codes had gone. They have now gone. I did a 5 min video and imported it and got the same broken picture.

I have down loaded GSpot and taken 3 screen shots of the results which are attached. They don't mean anything to me.

You wrote in your original question that you have a gaming Graphics card. Which exact model and have you checked that its drivers are fully up to date, via the manufacturer's website, not via Windows Update?

In addition to @emmrecs comment, looking at the codecs list, the only extra one I can see for video is the XVid codec, however I too have this installed and it does not affect importing on my PC.

We need a MediaInfo analysis of one of the source video clips that shows the issue - see this topic for what is required - and what camera or device was used to capture the video.

A sample clip, showing this issue, for us to test would also be helpful - can you upload a short ~ 10 secs long original, non confidential clip to somewhere like Dropbox or other file sharing site. Do not upload to the forum, Youtube, Vimeo etc as they will convert the clip.

There is no need for email addresses - in Dropbox hover the mouse over the file, you should see the sharing pop-up open; click Create a link option bottom-right. The link to the file will be created, then select Copy link and paste that into a comment.

Thanks for the MediaInfo analysis - nothing unusual, looks like a standard Full HD PAL AVC encoded video.

Firstly just to bring you up to date, I have updated my machine to the latest windows v1909, BIOS, graphics cards x2 and chipset drivers, so my machine is fully up to date as of today. I also uninstalled Magix and re-installed it, just in case there was a problem with the program.

Unfortunately I still have the same problem.

I have ruled out the camera completely and the lead as I have downloaded video into my old laptop and using Windows Video Editor I never had any problems whatsoever.

Attached is an image of what the breakup looks like when played in Magix. I have put a sample of the breakup in dropbox and below is the link. The breakup doesn't always show in the mp4 files when exported, however, the sections that are in Dropbox are the very section that broke up in Magix. Just to re-iterate, this problem has only started since moving from Magix Premium Pro 2016 to Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium.

John EB asked for a Media info analysis and Dropbox sample of an original clip ie straight from the camera SD card or after copying to your hard drive. All of these example you have posted appear to have been processed thru an editor.

Have you played any of your footage through another device other than your computer and seen this disturbance as it almost looks like a graphics card display fault?

I would have to fully concur with @Scenestealer on this! Those are the sort of artefacts that could be expected to be seen if there is some problem with a graphics card.

You say you have fully updated the drivers for your card but you still haven't told us exactly which card, manufacturer and model. If you do, and if you do exactly as Peter @Scenestealer wrote, and are able to post an original sample straight from the camera, it is possible that another user may have the identical card and so can test your footage on his/her computer.

Thanks for the video clips, I concur with @Scenestealer and @emmrecs that the issue looks like a graphics card issue.

Which graphics card - the Radeon R7 360 or NVIDIA GeForce 210 - does Movie Edit Pro think it is using and which one has the monitor attached to it?

Personally I would try pulling the GeForce 210 out of the PC - the R7 360 is a much more capable graphics card - to see if the issue is resolved.

Here's the latest update:

I have taken out the second graphics card (Nvidia) and unfortunately it didn't may any difference.

I feel now I've exhausted everything. Can we just go back to basics on this. Can you give me a rundown as to what settings you would use on Magix to import a 4K movie from a camcorder and how you would export it as an mp4. Failing that I just don't know what to do.

I do not use Movie Edit Pro to import the video files from my 4K camera (Sony)

Using Windows File Explorer, and the camera connected via USB, I copy the files direct to PC.

Once transferred I load them into MEP as required.
