Between Hope & Despair

At times in life a sudden revelation changes the whole meaning of life itself, It’s the day when the doctor breaks the news to his patient that “you have a terminal disease” such as Cancer. All the planning, things to be done, past achievements or future plans etc. just become so meaningless.

Well we all know that one day we have to face the inevitable, but it is the difference between knowing and not knowing when can one expect it to happen which puts one under a state of mind where on one hand Hope shouts to hold on, everything will be just fine, on the other side Despair whispers in the ears that it’s all goanna be over soon – lingering between the two is something so very powerful that can force miracles to happen, I call it a “Prayer”.

This track is dedicated to all Cancer patients and to my dear sister Razia in particular who being a born fighter continues battling against the monster. She needs your Prayers right now. I have my firm faith that with the power of our prayers she will win it over the disease which is eating her up from within just like termite.

Thanks in advance to everyone for taking out a moment to pray for Razia's speedy and complete recovery.

Beautiful music and atmosphere !! ciao da sandro

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

Dear friend, the song and especially the story behind touches  my heart so deeply . . .

between Hope and Despair, the greatest paradox we can beare . . . and you are right,

somtimes we experience through it . . the miracle, the power that we really ARE.

I will pray for your sister, for sure . . . right now, if I hear your music . . . and to night,

tomorrow . . . and so on .

A big hugh !  Karin
