"Black and White Rag" is a 1908 ragtime composition by George Botsford. Scott Joplin is more famous and considered the "father" of Ragtime music.

This is one of my favorite types of music to play. In this rendition, I added notes in the treble as a counter melody and took liberties with much of the song. There are many videos of this song on You Tube if you want to hear the original version.

There are no categories even CLOSE to Ragtime music listed so I picked "Other"

Thanks for listening
Trish

For this I am very pleased, very well executed, something very difficult to interpret. Your freedoms were taken well included. regards

Hi Trish,
Very nice and funny song, very difficult to play, and you've demonstrated great skill and mastery of the instrument.
You are one of Magix's columns and the true queen of the piano.
Compliments.

Hi Trish,

The fact that this is one of your favorite types of music to play is very evident, you did an absolutely great job. I have visions of keystone cops dancing in my head. Couldn't help but smile while I listened to this.

Super!

Cheers,
