As an update, I'll mark this as resolved. Have stuck with DVD-RW. Tried a DVD+RW, but not happy with the quality of that. Seemed jittery and unstable. Also tried a dual layer disc (Philips) but wouldn't even burn with that. Thanks for all the help

update error

I have a problem with SOUND FORGE PRO 14 365. It started November 30th. I contacted Magix support for this. After trying a few suggestions from them that didn't help, on December 2nd I was told they'd get the developers involved and get back to me.

There might be a clue here: Just had a look in device manager, there is one entry "other devices" with a very small question mark in the icon. On opening this there is one thing listed, with the same question mark, it's called "video grabber"
